Formed in 2009, Dirty Loops is a Swedish band that covers famous pop hits like Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” or Britney Spears’ “Circus” in their very own way, using mainly jazz and funky approaches - but not exclusively of course. Jonah Nilsson (vocals, keyboards), Henrik Linder (bass) and Aron Mellergårdh (drums) are quite young but well experienced in what they’re doing. Their first original album, Loopified, was released in Japan in April 2014, with subsequent release in Europe and America shortly after. The album contains 12 songs, 10 of which are original material. A Japanese special edition containing one more original song, one more cover and a DVD was also released. The band's three members all studied music at Södra Latin together. Nilsson studied classical theory while Linder and Mellergårdh studied Jazz. After high school they attended the Royal College of Music in Stockholm together. Jonah Nilsson has also studied music at Bethel College. Henrik Linder attended Adolf Fredrik Music School as a child. The band was formed in 2010. Henrik Linder began his music career at age four as a pianist. At age 13, he began playing bass. Jonah Nilsson started singing even as a child, while his parents were in the choir of the Katarina Church, Stockholm. At age 11 he began playing piano. He was a background singer and played piano on Danny Saucedos tour in 2005, the year when Danny debuted on the Swedish TV show Idol. History The band used to gather in a rehearsal room in the old town and play together. Then, one day they decided to record a music video in a fusion version of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance " .
